Crafting the Story: Bollinger Entrusts Datum with a Bond-Worthy Challenge

To celebrate this occasion, Champagne Bollinger enlisted Datum to create an unforgettable 60-second social media film, designed to highlight the limited-edition bottle and its stunning Globe-Trotter case. This video was to be used across multiple platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, ensuring it reached a global audience.

We were tasked with capturing the essence of Bollinger’s craftsmanship, highlighting the painstaking attention to detail that goes into the production of both the champagne and the luxury case. Our brief was clear: the film needed to communicate the quality, tradition, and heritage behind this exclusive gift set.

The project began with a visit to the Globe-Trotter factory in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, where we documented the handcrafted process of creating the bespoke case. Every element was carefully constructed by artisans, echoing the meticulous craftsmanship that Bollinger itself is renowned for. From there, our journey continued to the prestigious Champagne region of France, where we had the privilege of visiting the Bollinger vineyards and cellars. This behind-the-scenes access allowed us to capture the time-honoured methods of champagne production that have been preserved for generations.

Working alongside our creative partners, StudioPow, we developed the story from concept to completion, collaborating on the storyboard, filming, and post-production. Every shot was meticulously planned to showcase both brands’ devotion to detail and excellence, bringing the story of this limited-edition set to life.

Beyond the Video: Crafting a Complete Marketing Experience

Our work didn’t stop at the video. Datum also created a range of marketing materials to support the campaign. We developed a series of press adverts, including bar graphics for high-end venues where the limited-edition champagne is sold, such as London’s Burlington Arcade. Additionally, we designed and produced a podium to display the champagne gift set in retail environments, providing a premium showcase that reflects the exclusivity of the product.

Each piece of collateral was crafted with the same level of precision as the film, ensuring consistent messaging and brand integrity across all touchpoints. Our aim was to create a seamless campaign that reflected the elegance of both Bollinger and James Bond, from the video production to the physical display units.
