Drupa 2016 – Taking Print to the next dimension
Most of you will be familiar with the Drupa show. By far the largest printing equipment exhibition in the world, it has been hosted roughly every four years in Dusseldorf, Germany, since its inception in 1951. Its name reflects its German origins, being made up of the local words for print (druck) and paper (papier). Attracting hundreds of thousands of attendees, it’s a great place to find out the latest and greatest innovations for the Print industry. Last week we packed our bags, put on some comfortable shoes and spent a few days scouring the exhibition so we could bring you the highlights.
Rather than write it all down, we’ve put together this handy video. Featuring technologies and solutions as diverse as 3D printing, glow in the dark ink and printed clothing, we think the content perfectly illustrates the point that print is forever evolving and innovating in ways previously unimaginable. Some of the products are available now and some are still in research and development stage. If you would like to find out more, please drop us a line.
